Abolishing the Old
Principle:497. The silt at the bottom of the well needs to be removed. Thus, after Replenishing, Abolishing the Old follows.
<Significance of the Gua>:
490. It's not possible to obtain the success of the important undertaking of abolishing the old or restructuring without transforming yourself greatly first of all (This change is called Change like a tiger, which means your merit is as brilliant and distinct as a tigers fur.). In this way you will be able to win the faith and confidence of all the employees. And the reformation of the personell sysytem is the key issue for such an important undertaking.
<Significance of the Yao>:
First Nine:491. Now is the time you should harden your footing firmly in preparation for the abolishing the old or restructuring coming soon. Please don't act lightly.
Second Six:492. The time is right and the situation is excellent for abolishing the old or restructuring. Taking action will bring good fortune and success, but you still need to walk with firm step. There will be no fault.
