＜Sequence of the Gua（The Ninth Wing of the Commentary）＞：
Decreasing
Principle：417. Relieving continues to excess; surely something is to be lost. Thus, after Relief, Decreasing follows.
＜Significance of the Gua＞：
410. There will bring supreme good fortune if you remain sincere and truthful when you decrease yourself and benifit your superior. It is also important to restrain yourself to allow the superior to prosper in spite of your decreasing gorgeousness and excess.
＜Significance of the Yao＞：
First Nine：411. There will be no fault if you promptly suspend your own affairs and are hurrying away to help. However, it would be better to consider how much extent you can benifit your superior since you decrease yourself to increase him.
Second Nine：412. Please bear in mind to keep the virtue of central path and remain steadfast and upright to the end. There brings misfortune if you take rash action to make it done by force. You should consider how to benifit others without diminishing yourself.
Third Six：413. When one walks alone, one can meet a harmonious companion. When two people come together, it's easy to build a close relationship. But, when three people are in a relationship, doubts arise and lose one person in the end.
Fourth Six：414. With the help of your true friend, you will be able to decrease your shortcomings (or pain of ailment). The sooner you seek for the help, the greater the pleasure will be. No fault.
Fifth Six：415. You are so gentle and modest that all the people in the neiborhood are willing to benifit you regardless of their decrease. Modesty brings supreme good fortune and this prophecy cannot be changed whatever the fortune-telling you use.
Top Nine：416. You will be able to benefit yourself without decreasing others, which is not only no fault, it's the best way to obtain constant increase. There brings good fortune if you remain steadfast and upright and it's favorable to have somewhere to go.
